THE UNDERLYING PRINCIPLES OF PERMATApintar SCHOOL HOLIDAYS CAMP PROGRAMME

Throughout the programme, the administrators of Pusat PERMATApintar Negara will ensure that each student behaves accordingly to the matters below:

01. Code of Honour

Every gifted student should have the sense of respect, responsibility and trust. In pursuit of such community, each individual in the community should:
  • Do his/her best in all the academic activities.
  • Demonstrate tolerance and respect to all races, cultures, religions, genders, ages, abilities and state of birth.
  • Be friendly, cooperative, safe and responsible towards all the other members of the community.
  • Attend all lessons, meal gatherings, other activities and gatherings as fixed.
  • Be responsible for own actions.
  • Always cooperate with the management.
  • Obey all the rules laid down by the management.

02. Zero Indifference

Every individual in the community should work without being indifferent to each other. All members should be treated fairly, respectfully and friendly. This concept of zero indifference is in parallel with the three aims of Pusat PERMATApintar Negara:
  • Enhance the staff’s awareness towards students’ behavior that may cause interruptions to the learning process.
  • Allow staff (including teachers and administrators) to take any actions deemed appropriate (with reference to the rules) to terminate any bullying behaviours that can hinder the learning process.
  • Increase the awareness of all staff and students in order to communicate courteously without causing certain parties to feel neglected or alienated physically or emotionall.

03. Safe Learning Environment

Students should be provided with a learning environment that can make them feel safe and appreciated. Previous research shows that there is a positive relationship between sense of security and academic achievement for school students.
